Installation Mistakes to Avoid

The most common installation mistakes happen before fitting starts. Do not assume a part is correct because the vehicle name matches. Compare every piece with the actual dashboard, display, console and control layout. Model year, steering side and trim level can change the shape of the interior.

Do not fit over dust, silicone dressing, wax or moisture. Adhesive parts need a clean, dry and stable surface. Avoid rushing the first contact with the panel, because many products become difficult to reposition once the adhesive touches firmly.

Do not stretch rigid trim parts or force film around the wrong edge. If something does not align, stop and check the part orientation. Avoid fitting in very cold conditions unless the product instructions allow it. Finally, do not clean aggressively immediately after installation.
