Dashboard Trim Installation
Dashboard trim installation starts with checking that every supplied piece matches the vehicle interior before anything is fitted. Lay the parts on a clean cloth and compare each shape with the radio surround, climate panel, vents, switch panels and console trims. Small changes between model years, steering-side layouts or equipment levels can affect fitment, so do not rely only on the vehicle name.
Clean the dashboard surface with a suitable interior-safe cleaner, then remove silicone dressing, dust, wax and moisture. Adhesive trim needs a dry, stable surface. Work in a warm cabin where the adhesive and panel are not cold. Before removing backing film, place each piece in position and confirm the edges, button gaps and corners.
When fitting, peel only part of the backing at first, align the piece carefully, then press from the centre outward. Do not stretch rigid trim pieces to force a fit. After installation, avoid pulling at the edges and give the adhesive time to settle.
