Carbon Fiber Trim Installation

Carbon fiber style interior trim should be fitted with attention to alignment and surface condition. Before applying any part, compare the pattern direction, cut-outs and edge shape with the dashboard and console areas. A small rotation error can make the finish look uneven across neighbouring panels, especially around displays and switch groups.

Prepare the surface by removing dust, cleaner residue and old interior dressing. Adhesive trim does not bond well to silicone or oily surfaces. Dry fit the part and check that buttons, display edges, air vents and control gaps remain clear. Do not cover moving parts, warning labels or service access points.

Start fitting from a stable reference edge. Remove a small section of backing film, align the part, then gradually pull the rest away while pressing the trim into place. Use steady pressure rather than force. After fitting, inspect every edge and avoid cleaning or lifting the part until the adhesive has settled.
