Wood Dash Kit Installation

A wood dash kit can change the look of an interior, but the result depends on patient preparation. Start by checking the finish, grain direction and part layout against the vehicle dashboard. Some kits include many small pieces, so arrange them in fitting order and identify each panel before starting.

Dry fitting is especially important with wood-effect, real veneer or gloss-finished trim because alignment errors are easy to see. Confirm each edge around vents, radio controls, climate buttons and console openings. If a part appears wrong, stop and compare the dashboard version rather than trimming or forcing it.

Clean the surface thoroughly and let it dry. Avoid fitting over greasy dashboard treatments or textured dust. Warm the cabin gently if required, then apply each part slowly. Press evenly with clean hands or a soft cloth, taking care not to scratch the finish. Leave the trim undisturbed while the adhesive bonds.
